Learn about the new provisions for travel to Canada.
Only Canadian citizens, permanent residents and some groups such as agricultural workers and international students can enter the country right now as long as they do NOT have any COVID-19 related symptoms. Canadians must submit a negative COVID-19 test before boarding a plane and will be retested once they arrive in Canada, waiting for their result in a hotel paid for by the guest, where they must isolate themselves for 3 days. If they test positive in Canada, the Officer will assign them to a government facility for full quarantine.
As of 11:59pm on July 5th, Canadians vaccinated with the two doses will not require isolation for two weeks upon arrival in Canada as long as they test negative for COVID-19.
All foreign nationals, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated, will NOT be allowed to enter Canada by land for non-essential reasons, such as sightseeing or sightseeing.
It is important to remember that the rules of distancing, staying home if you feel unwell, and the mandatory use of mouth covers are still in force for everyone in all provinces of Canada.
